Team: who is behind Volàtil Rigging

We are a small and very dedicated project. At Volàtil Rigging, you will speak directly with those who think, design, and execute the assembly: this allows us to be agile, work tailored to your needs, and ensure safety without losing the personal touch.

Ivan Arjona

Creativity, public relations and flight effects

Ivan is the most visible face in the relationship with artists and production: approachable, communicative and with a creative eye for transforming an idea into something achievable. He has a long career in the circus world and specialises in acrobatic rigging, flight effects and flight motors for artists. In projects where the aerial element is key, he guides the process so the artist gains confidence and the result works safely, rehearsal after rehearsal.

Julià López

Technical rigour, loads and installation planning

Julià primarily handles the planning and office side, with a more analytical profile and a strong sense of responsibility. He often deals with load planning, technical criteria and fitting the rigging to the space, especially for fixed installations and assemblies that require accurate sizing. He has worked in vertical dance and various scenic projects, and since Volàtil was founded he has dedicated himself exclusively to rigging.

Rigging FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS

Rigour and safety

A direct team, and a network of collaborators when needed

Although the core of Volàtil Rigging is two people, in some projects we bring in technicians we have worked with for years to reinforce assemblies and schedules. When a project requires calculation or certification, we collaborate with an external engineering firm we work with on a regular basis.

We are Volàtil Rigging

Our way of being
(and working)

  • Tailored: we don't come with fixed formulas; we adapt the solution to the space, the idea and the schedule.
  • Direct relationship: you talk to the person who does the work, which avoids misunderstandings and loss of information.
  • Safety and criteria: verifications, controlled equipment and documentation when needed.
  • Friendly approach: professional rigour with a close and clear manner, both with artists and production teams.
